About Property

Welcome to Elijah's Cabin by AvantStay. A 1,100-square-foot mountain hideaway on the quiet side of the Smokies, where wood-walled warmth, ridgeline views, and starlit nights set the pace.

🛁 Covered hot tub for year-round soaks
🏔️ Expansive mountain views from the covered deck
🛏️ Two king/queen ensuite bedrooms + queen sleeper sofa (sleeps 6)

The space
Tucked into the wooded hills on the peaceful side of the Smokies, Elijah's Cabin is the kind of place that slows everything down the second you pull up the drive. This 1,100-square-foot retreat leans fully into its mountain-cabin soul — warm wood walls, soaring ceilings, and expansive windows that pull the surrounding ridgeline right into the living room. Morning coffee on the covered deck, afternoons spent watching the light shift across the treetops, evenings under a sky full of stars. That's the rhythm here.

The open-concept main level is built for togetherness, with a plush sectional, a classic stone fireplace anchoring the room, and a dining table set for six. The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a quick breakfast to a full cabin feast, and the washer and dryer tucked nearby make longer stays easy. The main-level king bedroom offers a quiet escape with its own ensuite bath, while upstairs, a cozy queen bedroom with a second ensuite gives couples or families their own private corner of the cabin. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room opens things up for a third pair — ideal for grandparents, kids, or close friends tagging along.

Outside is where the cabin really earns its name. Rocking chairs line the covered porch for unhurried conversation, a covered hot tub bubbles away just steps from the door for year-round soaks, and a shared firepit area invites you to gather for s'mores and stories after dark. The mountain views stretch out in every direction — the kind of scenery that makes you understand why people keep coming back to this corner of Tennessee.

Townsend, Tennessee — known as "The Peaceful Side of the Smokies" — is a quieter, nature-forward alternative to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Tucked into Tuckaleechee Cove at the western gateway to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, it draws travelers seeking authentic Appalachian charm without the crowds. Guests enjoy direct access to Cades Cove, the Little River's swimming holes and tubing runs, scenic drives along the Foothills Parkway, and the underground wonder of Tuckaleechee Caverns, plus a small but thriving scene of local eateries and artisan shops. With its laid-back pace and sweeping mountain views, Townsend appeals to families, couples, and outdoor enthusiasts year-round — peaking in summer and fall foliage season.
