Whether you want to head outside for exercise or stay in with a book and enjoy the view, this unique retreat is designed to make your trip one to remember.

This historic space is located on the third floor and is accessed via a private exterior stairway entrance from the back deck. The layout features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to 6 guests. Bedroom 1 is equipped with two sets of bunk beds (4 single beds) and a TCL Smart TV, while Bedroom 2 features a queen bed and a TCL Smart TV.

Nestled in Leadville's National Historic Landmark District, the Governor's Mansion was once the home of former Governor Jesse McDonald. Part of the house dates back to 1881, with the mansion portion completed in 1893. Being just half a block from Main Street, most town attractions are reachable by foot. The loft is perfectly positioned for adventure, located 12 minutes from Lake Turquoise, 25 minutes from Copper Mountain, 26 minutes from the Mt. Elbert Trailhead, and 47 minutes from Vail Ski Resort.

Practical Information & House Rules:

• Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 10:00 AM
• Pets: Allowed with a $60 fee (2 pets max). Pets must never be left unattended at the property; violations may result in a $100 fine or early check-out.
• Hot Tub: Shared between the GM Main House and GM Attic when both are occupied.
• Noise: Please keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM.
• Mid-stay Cleaning: Required for stays longer than 15 days ($150 fee).
• Important Notes: This property does not have air conditioning. Please be mindful of altitude sickness, as elevations reach up to 10,000 feet. Note that the exterior steps are metal/spiked, which may be sensitive for puppy feet.
