About Property

Discover the ultimate Harbor Country escape at the Leo Cottage, a stunning retreat in Union Pier, Michigan, that perfectly embodies a curated, casual aesthetic. Having been featured on HGTV and in Lonny and Cottage Living magazines, this home was designed by the sought-after firm Kate Marker Interiors, blending beauty with stylishly rustic touches and comfy vibes.

This inviting getaway is configured with 3 bedrooms, 3 beds, and 3 bathrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests. Sleeping arrangements include two perfectly appointed queen bedrooms and a generous bunk room that sleeps four. For a touch of luxury, the main bedroom and bathroom feature a stand-alone clawfoot tub, providing a serene spot for a glass of wine or a relaxing bath for the children after a day at the beach.

The home's interior is defined by vaulted ceilings and rustic exposed beams in the main living area, complemented by shiplap, whitewash, rattan, and natural fiber accents. A wood-burning, free-standing fireplace serves as a focal point in the front family room. The updated kitchen maintains a vintage lake house feel while offering modern convenience, featuring a generous farmhouse sink, new cabinets, and an oversized center prep island with bar stools. Guests can enjoy meals in the gorgeous dining room, a breakfast area with booth seating, or outdoors on the large furnished patio and screened-in gazebo.

Outside, the property welcomes you with a charming wood picket gate and an award-winning garden featured in Better Homes and Gardens. The exterior grounds include a fire pit area, an outdoor shower, and a private hot tub for unwinding. To enhance your stay, the home provides beach chairs and four bicycles (two adult and two children).

Located just a short trip from pristine Lake Michigan beach access, the surrounding neighborhood is beloved for its woodsy gravel roads, destination design stores, and mom-and-pop bakeries. Nearby vineyards, distilleries, and biking paths make it a premier destination for families and couples.
