In typical New Zealand style, the bathroom facilities are split into two separate rooms: one dedicated to the toilet and another for the sink and shower.

Guests can arrive via car from Havelock, by boat or water taxi from Havelock or Te Mahia, or by plane from Nelson or Wellington. Nearby adventures abound, including hiking the Queen Charlotte Track, mussel farm tours, kayaking, fishing, and golf at Nopera.
