BEACH HOUSE RENTAL GUIDELINES CHECK-IN AND CHECK IN-OUT INSTRUCTIONS:

FIRST AND FOREMOST, ENJOY YOUR STAY! Thank you for staying at Barefoot Steps To The Beach, we value your business. Please take a moment to review the following information to optimize your stay and insure your deposit is returned in full. UPON Arrival. A signed waiver will be required for the use of the hot tub, the use of the cargo lift, an agreement that you have read the house rules.

IMPORTANT: In consideration of our delicate septic/sewer systems, please inform all your guests to adhere to the following:

• TOILET PAPER ONLY! (NO paper towels, feminine hygiene products, baby wipes or trash.) Sand should NOT be washed down tubs and sinks...can ruin the septic system. Rinse sand using the outdoor shower or outdoor faucet. • DO NOT PUT coffee grounds, eggshells, or grease down the garbage disposal or sink. • DO NOT USE powdered laundry or dishwasher detergents, they contain clay and fillers. • DO NOT DRIVE or park on the grass, as you may damage the system. (Damage to the septic system can result in loss of your deposit, and potentially more) • REFRIGERATORS.... should remain at medium setting and not overly stuffed with food. Once you have stocked the fridge, please allow ample time for temperature adjustment. • AIR CONDITIONERS.... upon arrival do not set below 72°. Please allow the unit time to cool before lowering the temperature. During peak temperatures in the summer, please do not lower the thermostat more than 2-3 degrees at a time, and no lower than 70° (this will prevent the unit from freezing up). PILLOWS, BEDSPREADS, DISHES • COOKWARE: Is provided for your convenience. Please do not take any of these items out of the house, to the beach, or home with you! • PESTS.... we do our best to keep pests away, all of our property receives routine pest control. An occasional roach or line of ants does not mean the property is infested or has been poorly maintained. Some tips: All food should be stored in the refrigerator, sealed packages or containers; all areas should be free of spills, food and crumbs. Please understand we are on a peninsula, and you may occasionally have "uninvited guests", Birds and mosquitos included. We will not relocate guests or issue refunds/discounts due to bug sightings. • OUTDOORS.... all outdoor grilling/cooking should be done downstairs (ground level). Be mindful of high winds and fire hazards. Enjoy yourselves, but please be mindful of your volume levels, especially after 10 pm. This is a NO Smoking property. The windy beach could cause fires with anything that has ashes.
We recommend not leaving personal belongings outside overnight, especially downstairs. This includes the barbecue grill, coolers, chairs, kids' toys, fishing gear, etc.

CHECK OUT.... is at 10am. The house should be left as you found it. Please review the Guest Check Out List attached for instructions. COMMENTS.... we appreciate your feedback.

CHECK OUT LIST : Load dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start load before leaving. Turnoff lights and lamps..including outdoor lights. Set Thermostat to 78 in the summer. Check refrigerator and freezer for food and dispose. Check for personal belongings. Return to remote for the cargo lift. Cover and latch the hot tub. Set lock on leaving....

Generally speaking, we ask that you leave the home as you found it.

Kitchen: • Please empty refrigerator and freezer of all food and no food left out for pests to find! Take trash to trash bins outside. • Bedrooms: Please leave pillows, and comforters and sheets ON the correct beds. • Bathrooms: Remove all personal items, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, etc. • Outside/Exterior: Empty/clean BBQ grill, if used. • Please remove all trash and cigarette butts from the property and place in bags in the provided trash cans. • Stack all plastic chairs (If any) on deck and against the house (to prevent damage from wind). • ALL Rooms of the House: Remove all personal belongings (including items left in drawers, closets, washers, and dryers). • Return all furnishings to the original positions. • Turn off all TV's and stereo equipment and place remotes on Velcro strips on the TVs • Turn off lights, lamps, and fans.

Miscellaneous: • Please turn A/C to 78 degrees upon departure. • Empty all trash cans and place bagged trash in outdoor cans provided. Do not place bags of trash outside of cans as animals will tear them open. • Close and lock all doors and windows.
