The home is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests with a thoughtful layout. The first floor features a living area with a TV, a kitchen, a dining space, and a laundry room. This level also houses a primary bedroom with a king bed and TV, along with a shared bathroom featuring a tub and shower. Upstairs, the second floor contains a second bedroom with a queen bed and a third bedroom with two twin beds, complemented by a hallway bathroom with a tub and shower.

While the home is a private haven, it is perfectly positioned for exploration. Guests can enjoy a convenient stroll to the iconic Ocracoke Lighthouse and the enchanting Springer's Point Preserve, making it an ideal base for nature lovers and history enthusiasts.

Outdoor living is a highlight of the Evening Shade experience. The exterior offers ample areas for relaxation, including a screened porch and a great yard space. For a classic coastal experience, guests can enjoy the hot/cold outdoor shower and a picnic table. For those arriving by water, the property offers one off-site Boat Slip with a fish bench on Silver Lake Harbor and a kayak access path. The dock accommodates boats up to 20-25 feet with a water depth of approximately three feet. Parking is available for one vehicle.

Practical details for your stay include a check-in time of 5:00 PM and a check-out time of 10:00 AM. To ensure a seamless arrival, sheets and towels are provided, and beds are made for your arrival. Please note that a starter kit is provided containing basic essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and trash bags; guests should bring additional supplies for longer stays.

House rules are strictly enforced to maintain the quality of the retreat: no smoking and no pets are allowed. Short stays are available with a three-night minimum, bookable within two weeks of arrival. A military discount is available and must be applied at the time of booking.
