Unit 1 Entrance: to access the downstairs unit in this duplex, use the side entrance of the home. The front entrance is dedicated to the upstairs unit.

We are so glad to have you! This manual contains everything you need to know to enjoy the amenities and keep the house in great shape during your stay.

Starter Supply Policy: We provide a complimentary starter pack of towels, toilet paper, and toiletries for your arrival. Please note that we do not restock or refill these items during your stay. Guests are responsible for purchasing any additional supplies they may need after the initial pack is used.

Washer/Dryer: Do not overload the washer or dryer, and please load the washer as balanced as possible to prevent damage.

Drain Policy Please do not pour grease or hot oils down the drain or in the trash! We have provided glass jars under the kitchen to dispose of oil. Place the jar in the sink before slowly pouring the oil into the jar. Please be careful not to spill or burn yourself! If you do not see a jar, please let us know. Also, the drains do not have a garbage disposal, so please be careful with what goes down the drain. If sink is slow to drain, please let us know!

Temperature The thermostat should always be between 65 and 75 degrees. This helps prevent pipes from freezing in the winter, and conserves energy throughout the year. When checking out during summer months, please set it to COOL at 75 degrees. When checking out during winter months, please set it to HEAT at 65 degrees. Please do not use personal space heaters or other dedicated heat sources as they pose a fire risk.

Trash and Recycling Pick-Up Schedule: Trash (green bin outside) pick up is on Tuesdays. Recycling (grey bin outside) is also Tuesdays, but every other week. For the specific schedule, please check the Hampton city website and find the GREEN recycling days. Guidelines for Take-Out: The bins should not be too close to a vehicle or mailbox The bins must be at least 3 feet apart from each other The mouth of the lids should face toward the street Egg cartons are not allowed in recycling. The recycling can either be in paper bags or loose in the can. Only 1 and 2 plastics are recyclable based on this guide.

Take-Out Policy If your check-out is on a Monday, please kindly remove all trash and recycling and place them in the bins outside. Our cleaners will place them to the curb for the city to pick up on Tuesday morning.

Quick House Rules Smoking: Strictly no smoking inside the house. Quiet Hours: 11PM to 7AM out of respect for our neighbors.

PARKING Private Parking There is enough parking space in the back of the home for 2 of your vehicles. Please note that this area is meant to accommodate both units in this duplex, so please park accordingly. Street Parking If possible, use the parking lot behind the home as E. Mercury Blvd. can be a busy street. However, there are options for street parking directly in front of the home if necessary.

PET RULES: We love our furry friends! We welcome cats and dogs as long as guests agree to our pet policy below: Pets should never get on furniture of any kind, including any beds, couches and chairs. Any messes and waste both inside and outside of the home should be picked up ASAP. If a mess occurs inside of the home, please clean promptly and notify us so we can pay special attention to the area with the next cleaning. These rules help us keep our promise of a clean home for each and every guest!

Firehouse Coffee 1881: Set inside a historic firehouse at Fort Monroe, this café offers fantastic breakfast sandwiches and premium coffee (4 mins). The Baker's Wife Bistro & Bar: An upscale yet inviting bistro serving refined Southern flavors with a distinct French flair (1 min). Fuller's Raw Bar: A cool, industrial-style eatery specializing in fresh oysters and classic coastal seafood dishes (2 mins).
