Experience modern alpine luxury at Fjellsangin, a featured-in-Seattle-Magazine cabin set against old-growth forest at the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainier. This Nordic wellness retreat offers a perfect blend of sophisticated design and natural tranquility, just ten minutes from the park entrance and forty-five minutes from Paradise.
This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin sleeps up to 6 guests with thoughtful sleeping arrangements. The main floor primary bedroom features a king bed with forest-facing windows and ambient lighting, while the upper bedroom offers another king bed with vaulted ceilings and warm wood finishes. The open loft provides a queen sofa bed and lounge chair, perfect for a sixth guest or quiet reading retreat.
Located on the edge of the Nisqually Land Trust's Busy Wild corridor with no neighbors behind and nothing but trees to the horizon, Fjellsangin offers unparalleled privacy and forest immersion. The Nisqually entrance provides access to Paradise's wildflower meadows, Longmire Historic District, and Mount Tahoma Trails. Local dining includes Wildberry Restaurant for Himalayan cuisine, Paradise Village Café for Ukrainian specialties, and BaseCamp Grill for post-hike meals.
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM. Minimum guest age is 12, and the property is not suitable for events or parties. To maintain the experience for all guests, pets and smoking are not permitted anywhere on the property, with a $500 fee for violations. Experience add-ons including dinner kits, sauna ritual upgrades, and wellness amenities must be reserved at least 7 days before arrival.
Designed by the owner and built with materials sourced from the land, including alder milled on-site, Fjellsangin represents the perfect fusion of Nordic wellness philosophy and Pacific Northwest natural beauty. Every window was placed deliberately to frame tree lines and capture morning light, creating an authentic forest retreat experience.
