This unique residence serves as the childhood home of the Van Zant family, the legendary founders of Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special. Originally added to the property by Lacey Van Zant as the family grew and the bands rose to fame, this home is steeped in musical legacy. Current front man Johnny Van Zant even utilized the adjacent studio as his personal music space while residing in this very unit.
The interior of the home is designed for comfort and coziness, featuring two bedrooms and two beds that can accommodate up to 4 guests. The sleeping quarters are complemented by a functional jack and jill bathroom. Guests can unwind in the cozy living room or prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen, making the space ideal for a relaxing getaway.

Practical Information & Rules: Check-in is available starting at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Please note that pets are not allowed on the property. To ensure a secure stay, this property has special local compliance requirements, including ID verification, a signed rental agreement, and a security deposit. Guests may choose between two options for the deposit: a refundable $1,000 security hold or a $39 Damage Waiver providing coverage up to $1,500 for accidental damages (coverage up to 10 nights, with an additional $2/day for longer stays). These processes are managed via the secure Happy Guest platform, which also provides a guest portal featuring local recommendations and optional third-party upgrades to enhance your visit.

Please wash, dry, and return any dishes, pots or pans used, and deposit trash in outside receptacles upon departure. Set heat to 65 and AC to 78 when not physically in unit to help us conserve electricity.

Option 1: Damage Waiver ($39) - Have a worry-free stay with coverage for up to $1500 for accidental damage (spills, breaks, mishaps) with no surprise charges. Just relax and enjoy your stay. Coverage up to 10 nights, +$2/day for longer stays, and provided by a third-party insurance company.
Option 2: Security Deposit ($1,000) - Refundable temporary hold that releases after your stay.
