Discover a one-of-a-kind stay at The Van Zant House Studio, a truly unique getaway in Jacksonville, Florida, where Southern rock history meets modern comfort. Once the personal music studio of Johnny Van Zant, the current lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, this spacious retreat allows you to immerse yourself in a piece of authentic music history while enjoying a relaxing escape.
The studio is designed for comfort and flexibility, accommodating up to 3 guests. The sleeping arrangements include a queen-size bed and a fold-down futon, ensuring a restful stay for all. The layout features an open-concept studio bathed in natural light from large windows, paired with 1 private bathroom featuring a shower and fresh towels.
While the studio has been updated for today's traveler, it retains the character of the historic Van Zant House, the childhood home of Ronnie, Donnie, and Johnny Van Zant. Guests can enjoy several standout features of the property:

Perfectly positioned for exploring Northeast Florida, the property is located just minutes from downtown Jacksonville. Guests have quick access to EverBank Stadium for Jaguars games, the Jacksonville Zoo, various local restaurants, shopping districts, and the area's beautiful beaches, making it an ideal home base for music fans, business travelers, or families.
To ensure a secure experience, this property has special local compliance requirements, including a signed rental agreement and ID verification. Guests must choose between two security options via the Happy Guest platform: a $39 Damage Waiver (covering up to $1,500 for accidental damage) or a refundable $1,000 Security Deposit.
Check-in is available starting at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Please note that pets are not allowed. Option 1: Damage Waiver ($59) - Have a worry-free stay with coverage for up to $1000 for accidental damage (spills, breaks, mishaps) with no surprise charges. Just relax and enjoy your stay. Coverage up to 10 nights, +$2/day for longer stays, and provided by a third-party insurance company.
Option 2: Security Deposit ($2,500) - Refundable temporary hold that releases after your stay.
To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it's a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
Your guest portal includes advertisements with third-party upgrades that you may want to enhance your stay. These upgrades are optional.
