Driftwood House Rules Welcome to Driftwood—your peaceful escape on the Bruce Peninsula. We're delighted to host you. Please review and follow the house rules below to ensure a relaxing and safe stay for everyone. Check-in & Check-out Check-in: 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Later check-ins available by request.) Check-out: 10:00 AM sharp A $100 fee applies to late check-outs. Final check-out instructions will be sent the day before departure. Guests & Pets Minimum Age to Book: 25 years old (All guests must be 25+ on long weekends.) Occupancy Limit: Maximum 10 guests (8 adults and 2 children under 12) Guest & Pet Disclosure: All guests and pets must be declared at booking. Undeclared guests or pets may result in immediate cancellation without refund. Pets: Allowed with prior approval and a paid pet fee. Property Guidelines Shoes: Please remove shoes indoors. Furniture: Keep all furniture in its original location. Avoid placing wet towels or swimsuits on furniture. Kitchen Etiquette: Use trivets for hot pots and pans. Do not dispose of grease, fat, or paper towels in sinks or toilets. Septic System: Use the washing machine sparingly. Do not wash sandy or heavily soiled items. Indoor Fireplace: Use only dry, seasoned firewood. Never leave the fire unattended and always close the screen when burning. Sauna: Follow the sauna instructions provided. Limit sauna sessions to 15 minutes. Stay hydrated. Children must be supervised at all times. Smoking/Vaping: Not permitted indoors. Noise: Be respectful of neighbors, especially during evenings. Sound carries easily over the water. Neighbors: Do not enter the neighboring shoreline to the left of the property. Cleaning & Departure Before You Leave: Wash and put away all dishes Leave the property tidy Odors: Do not cook strong-smelling foods indoors (e.g. fish must be cooked on the BBQ). A $100 fee may apply for odor remediation. Excessive Cleaning: May be billed at $50 per hour if required. Safety Reminders The property is not childproof—children must be supervised at all times. No fireworks permitted. Only use plastic cups near the water. Always turn off the propane tank after using the BBQ. Clean the dryer lint trap after each use. Know where the fire extinguisher and first aid kit are located. Report any damage or incidents immediately. Fire Safety Respect any local fire bans in place. Keep the garden hose nearby when using the fire pit. Never leave a fire unattended. Fully extinguish fires before sleeping or leaving the area. Garbage & Recycling Place all garbage and recycling in the grey metal bin at the end of the driveway. Raise the red flag to indicate pickup is needed. Rinse recyclables before disposal. Do not leave garbage or food waste outside overnight to avoid attracting wildlife. Booking Commitment: Please review the property details, location, and total cost before booking. We honour the cancellation policy as stated at the time of booking only. Cancellations for reasons unrelated to the property—such as cost, change of plans, or travel issues—will not be refunded outside of this policy. Winter Weather Advisory Weather in Grey-Bruce can be unpredictable. Snow clearing follows a set schedule and is not on demand. Travel during storms is at your own risk, and cancellations due to weather do not alter the cancellation policy. Pets are welcome pending the pet fee is paid and the pet is disclosed at reservation. Winter Firepit Use:

Outdoor firepits have limited access during the winter months due to snow conditions. A shovel is provided for your convenience should you wish to use the firepit and need to clear a safe area around it.

Guests are responsible for ensuring the area is properly cleared and safe prior to use. There is a pet fee of $150 at this property.
