Nature enthusiasts will love the immediate access to outdoor adventures. Step outside to discover a trail leading down to the valley, where marshes and ponds invite exploration. Spring-fed Lake St. George, renowned for its crystal-clear waters, sits just two miles away. Three lakes lie within a couple of miles, with one conveniently located across the road. The property is situated just 2.5 miles off Route 3, providing easy access while maintaining a secluded feel.
The location offers excellent access to Maine's attractions. Camden and Belfast are both 15-30 minutes away, while Augusta, the state capital, and Rockland are approximately 30 minutes from the cabin. For a memorable day trip, Bar Harbor is only 75 miles away. Please note that firewood and fire starters are not provided. Guests are encouraged to bring their own supplies, with kiln-dried firewood available at local stores. The cabin is accessed via Coon Mountain Lane on a gravel road, and the brown exterior building will be the first cabin on your left. If this Bigfoot Retreat cabin is unavailable, consider Sasquatch Haven, the second private cabin on the same property.
