October visitors can enjoy Live & Local music and markets at Middleton Park, the U.S. Open King Mackerel Tournament in early October, and the island's big Saturday on October 24th featuring the Witches Ride and the National Night Out Spooktacular. Note that from October 16 through March 15, dogs are permitted off-leash on the beach strand per town rules.
