Experience a luxury outdoor camping adventure like no other at the Secluded Glamping Globe in Freeport, Maine. Tucked away in the most secluded part of a recently renovated luxury campground, this 16-foot diameter geodesic dome allows you to sleep out in nature while overlooking a beautiful stream and surrounded by tall northern pines. It is a quiet, serene sanctuary designed for those looking to unwind and rediscover the magic of being human.
This unique retreat is configured with one bedroom featuring a queen bed with premium linens, a quilt, and a down comforter. The space offers a surprisingly spacious feel thanks to 10-foot high ceilings and a stunning glass wall that makes you feel as if you are sleeping outside. For your comfort, the dome includes two comfy chairs for reading, a cozy propane heater for colder months, a portable AC for the summer, and a mattress heating pad. While the dome does not have internal bathrooms, a gorgeous cedar Bath House with individual showers is located just a short walk away.
Because the structured amenities list is currently empty, please note that all onsite services are provided as part of the campground experience. Guests have access to the Unwind Nordic Spa (available for a $25 daily fee), which features a custom-built sauna, a stone salt water plunge pool with a waterfall, a stone salt water hot tub, and a cold plunge tub for contrast therapy. The grounds also offer Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, string lights, a fire pit, and various games including chess, cornhole, and giant Jenga.
Located on the edge of the iconic Desert of Maine dunes, the property is just minutes from Freeport and a short drive to the harbors and lighthouses of Portland. Guests can explore the local geology, enjoy mini golf, or visit award-winning breweries and the Freeport outlets.
