Discover a serene sanctuary at The Escape, a gorgeous A-frame cabin nestled among tranquil northern pines in Freeport, Maine. Designed as a place where wanderers unwind, this Scandinavian-built retreat features a stunning 18-foot wall of glass that overlooks beautiful woods, creating an enchanting feeling of sleeping directly in nature.

This luxurious glamping experience is configured with 1 bedroom, 1 bed, and 1 bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to 4 guests. The interior boasts a spacious feel with dramatic high ceilings and abundant light. Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed outfitted with premium linens and a down comforter. For additional guests, two Twin XL foam sleeping mattresses with linens and pillows are available for an extra fee. The layout includes a half-bath with a private toilet door, a comfy reading chair, and a combined bathroom and kitchen area with a small sink and countertop.

While general amenities are kept minimal to encourage disconnection, the cabin is equipped with a mini refrigerator, a Keurig with assorted coffees, a kettle with teas, and a mini ductless split heat/AC system with an oscillating fan to ensure comfort in any weather. A heating pad is provided in the bed for colder months.

Guests have access to a private back deck with string lights and outdoor furniture. Beyond the cabin, the campground offers a gorgeous cedar Bath House with individual showers, a 24/7 self-serve Camp Store, and an outdoor seating area with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. For a true Nordic experience, the onsite Unwind Nordic Spa (available for a daily fee) features a custom-built sauna, a salt water plunge pool with a waterfall, a hot tub, and cold plunge therapy.

Located on the edge of the iconic dunes of the Desert of Maine, the property is just minutes from Freeport and a short drive to Portland's harbors, lighthouses, and award-winning breweries. Guests can enjoy free after-hours access to the dunes or walk to the local mini golf course.
