Welcome to Wolf Lodge! This cozy cabin is our personal second home, and we invite you to make yourself at home during your stay. Please treat our place with respect and care, as if it were your own. As a reminder, we are in the woods with a septic system and well water, so please be mindful of what goes down the drains and conserve water when possible.

We are happy to welcome up to two dogs by same owner, but please let us know beforehand and ensure they are well-behaved and kept on a leash when outside. We ask that you clean up after your dog and not leave them unattended to avoid any damage or disruption to the property. Please note that due to allergies, we can only accommodate dogs and no other types of pets, and we don't allow smoking on the premises.

You can use the gas fireplace in the living room. You operate it by the thermostat below the steps.

Although our home is primarily set up for guests, you'll find a locked closet and storage space in the basement for our personal belongings. We want you to have a comfortable stay and enjoy your time here. We provide extra toiletries, towels, sheets, and other essentials, but we kindly ask that you only use what is needed during your stay. This helps us to conserve resources and minimize waste.

Feel free to have casual get-togethers, but please keep in mind that we cannot allow parties that would disturb our neighbors or accommodate more than six overnight guests. We appreciate your understanding, as we are on a septic system with limited supplies. We added an outdoor grill that you are welcome to use, but it's operated on the honor system ... each person will be responsible for propane, and for cleaning the grill since this is outside of our cleaner's purview.

If you decide to build a fire in the fire pit, please be sure that the weather conditions will allow it and then please be sure to use the hose to completely extinguish.

You'll find that our property offers a variety of fun activities for all ages, including a hot tub (see rules below), climbing wall, a loft bed, and outdoor stone walls and steps. We encourage you to make the most of these features, but we do ask that you supervise your children closely to ensure their safety.

We have a service that plows snow and one that helps clear the steps to the home. But, they are not at the home 24/7 and this is Maine…snow or ice can accumulate quickly. Please be aware of that as you enter the home and be careful, use the handrail, and there is ice melt and shovels in the foyer should you need it.

We also have service for hot tub and yard mowing. We do our best to have them arrive at a time we don't have guests on the property, but that is sometimes out of our control. So please be aware that you could encounter a maintenance worker outside the property at some point. We never have

We hope you enjoy your stay at Wolf Lodge and treat it like a second home. Keep in mind that we don't turn over our property quickly, so there might not be anyone to check the home for a day or two. To minimize risk of pests, clear any food off of tables /counter and be sure to leave garbage in garbage can with the lid closed. It's also helpful to turn off lights and fireplace, and lock the door.

Please note that our home is not to be used for any commercial purposes without prior approval and permits, and that you are expected to follow all local, state, and federal laws.

HOT TUB USE:

Up to four people at a time in the hot tub.

Please be sure you're showered with no lotions or oils, etc. before entering.

Please do not bring any breakables near the hot tub! We have plastic ware, if you would like to use that.

There are four quick dry towels in the entryway that You can use while using the hot tub. Please don’t use the white bath towels outside.

You will want to remove the outer cover and then fold the lid up and into the back metal holder. It’s a very expensive lid so please don’t take it off and put it on the ground…if you are having trouble opening it up, call us and we will walk it through with you.

The hot tub should be on and running. You’ll see a button for the jets. Please keep it running.

Please add one TBSP of chemicals each day. Our hot tub is maintained weekly by a professional company and they are on the premises in the daytime usually on Fridays, but could be off by a day or so due to weather or other factors.

Use of the hot tub is at your own risk.

We don't charge extra for hot tub usage unless there is any damage to the hot tub, or if it needs cleaning and refilling due to misuse.

The lights inside of the hot tub are not working. The outdoor string lights that attach to the artist shed will be on automatically from 7 PM until 11 PM each night. The string lights above the door and nearest the hot tub are operated by remote that you'll find hanging in the entryway.
