About Property

Discover the ultimate Rocky Mountain escape at The Mountain Gem, a stunning luxe log chalet perched at 11,000 feet in Fairplay, Colorado. Nestled on three private acres surrounded by dense spruce and mountain ridgelines, this retreat blends rustic charm with modern luxury, offering a sanctuary where the nearest neighbor is a forest of trees.

Designed for effortless group dynamics across three floors, the home features a thoughtful sleeping configuration to ensure everyone has their own space. The upper floor hosts two king bedrooms, each with its own full ensuite. The middle floor contains the master suite, boasting a king bed, walk-in shower, and a walk-in closet. The basement provides additional flexibility with a king bed and a built-in double bunk, comfortably accommodating four guests. With four bathrooms, the morning routine is entirely stress-free.

The heart of the home is the majestic great room, featuring 30-foot vaulted ceilings, custom pine beams, and a stone fireplace that spans the full height of the wall. Windows on three sides frame the surrounding wilderness, while a dining table seating eight to twelve ensures the whole group can eat together. For those who love to cook, the chef's kitchen is fully equipped with Viking cookware, Cuisinart stainless pans, KitchenAid appliances, an air fryer, and three different coffee makers to satisfy every preference.

Recreation and relaxation are paramount here. The former garage has been transformed into a premier games room featuring a pool table, ping pong, darts, cornhole, a full arcade, and a beer fridge. Downstairs, the rec room offers a large sectional, Roku TV, a wet bar, and a kids' corner. Outside, guests can unwind in the cedar barrel sauna or the eight-person hot tub on the lower patio, complete with string lights and a view of the starry alpine sky.

Whether you are exploring the on-property hiking trails in summer or using the provided sleds on the private hills in winter, the property is a destination in itself.
