Originally built in the 19th century as a refuge for the man who carved the levadas into the rock, the property evolved from a forest outpost and shelter into the current tranquil haven. The layout features four individual bedrooms and four bathrooms, with four beds available to accommodate guests. Guests can enjoy a cozy communal space complete with a private balcony that unveils mesmerizing views of the valley's splendor. Additionally, there is an exterior family room annex that borders the outdoor terrace, providing further space for relaxation.

Your stay is designed to nourish both body and soul with a comforting meal package, including a welcome drink, dinner served between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and breakfast available from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Guest access is flexible, with entry available via the reception and cafe lounge or through the northeast door for private access to the balcony and living room.

Located on the island's western shores, the cottage is a pivotal allure for hikers, providing direct access to renowned pedestrian trails such as Levada das 25 Fontes, Levada do Risco, and Levada do Alecrim. Because of its unique natural location, please note that Wi-Fi and internet service are limited.

• Parking: Limited space around the perimeter; guaranteed for only 2 cars on a full stay basis. Additional spaces (1 per group) are permitted between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM if multiple rooms are occupied.
• Transport: A municipal van operates from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on a pay-per-trip basis as an alternative to the 35-minute walk from the Rabaçal parking area.
