We have a policy that restricts parties and events in the suites or anywhere on the grounds. We utilize a security camera on-site and actively monitor outside each suite. In the event our caretaker is able to confirm you as the guest are conducting unauthorized activity such as a party or event, we will unfortunately have to cancel your reservation reservation and you will forfeit your refund.

Our property operates on a septic plumbing system and due to this we ask that guests only flush toilet paper and to be mindful of the quantity of toilet paper being flushed each time. Should the septic clog during your stay, a fee will be assessed to have our plumber called to the property for any repairs.

• All Ali'i Koa suites are a 'no shoes permitted' reservation. All guest and visitor shoes must be removed at entry. Ai'i Koa will charge a $10 fee per carpet/rug should any stains be discovered in the home.

• When possible, we can accommodate early check-ins (subject to current bookings and cleaner availability). To request an early check-in, please notify us at least 3 days in advance. We'll confirm availability no later than a day prior to your check-in date. Early check-in is at 2pm and requires pre-payment of $30 through Airbnb.

• Unfortunately we are unable to accept packages at the property; if you need to have items shipped to you during your stay, please reach out and we can make recommendations as to where in Hilo you could make such arrangements.

• Due to the neighborhood noise statute, no parties as previously stated are permitted. Violation of the noise/party rule will result in the police being called, termination of your reservation, and the security deposit retained. We must respect the peace of the community. Your respect of the property is appreciated.

• For the comfort of all guests, kindly honor the serenity of Aliʻi Koa by adhering to quiet hours from 9 pm to 8 am. This will contribute to a more restful and relaxing experience during your stay.

Penalties: If any of the follow occurs the guest acknowledges the deduct or lose of their security deposit and a claim will be filed with Airbnb.

1. Stolen towels: $10 per towel (washcloth, hand towel, or bath towel)

2. Smoking in the suite: $150 per infraction

3. Late Checkout past 10:00 AM without host approval: $75

4. Excessive guests than reserved: $140 per guest after 4 guests

5. Industrial cleaning services needed due to guest behaviors: $200

Security Deposit: Should the caretaker of Ali'i Koa feel that damages incurred during your stay require immediate or professional attention the guest may be charged up to $300
