This adorable cottage is perfectly configured for couples or small families, featuring 2 bedrooms with 2 plush king-sized beds and 1 beautiful bathroom. The interior boasts an open floor plan where the living room, dining room, and fully-equipped kitchen flow together seamlessly under soaring cathedral ceilings and skylights.
Experience the magic of the rainforest through numerous large picture windows or from the screened-in outside deck, where you can unwind with a glass of wine while listening to the birds. The living area is warmed by a large gas fireplace with electric ignition, and each bedroom includes its own tabletop fireplace to keep you cozy at night. The bathroom is highlighted by a stunning walk-in shower and a built-in heater for those crisp mountain evenings.
Outside, the property sits on a half-acre of private forest. The screened outdoor patio features a brand-new Japanese "Furo" Hot Tub, providing a tranquil space to soak under the stars amidst the native trees and flowers.
Location & Neighborhood Situated in Volcano Village, one of the last remaining areas of native rainforest in Hawaii, the cottage is located directly off a paved street with a short driveway and private parking. The area is characterized by a cool mountain climate with crisp air, making air conditioning unnecessary. Guests are encouraged to explore the nearby national park and the small, magical forest town. Please note that local convenience stores and gas stations typically close by 7:00 PM.

• Registered guests only Only the guests listed on your reservation are permitted to stay. The number of occupants must match your booking exactly, unless prior approval received. Unauthorized additional guests may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation without refund.
• No pets allowed We adore animals, but to maintain a comfortable, allergen-free environment for all our guests, pets (including emotional support animals unless legally required with prior documentation) are not permitted. Bringing a pet may lead to cancellation without refund and additional cleaning fees.
• No smoking For the comfort and health of all guests, smoking (including vaping, e-cigarettes, and marijuana) is strictly prohibited inside the property. Any evidence of smoking will incur cleaning and deodorizing fees.
• No food or drinks in bedrooms To keep the sleeping areas fresh and inviting, please enjoy meals and beverages only in designated dining and living spaces.
• Respect quiet hours To ensure a restful stay for everyone, please observe quiet hours from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Keep noise to a reasonable level at all times, especially outdoors, to respect our neighbors.
• Adhere to check-in and check-out times Please respect the scheduled arrival and departure times. Late check-out without prior approval may result in additional fees equivalent to an extra night’s stay
• Treat furnishings with care We’ve thoughtfully furnished the home for your enjoyment—please do not rearrange furniture or remove items from the property. Any damage beyond normal wear may result in repair/replacement charges.
• No illegal substances The use or possession of any illegal substances on the premises is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate eviction without refund.
Hawaii County Local Ordinances
Hawai’i County has adopted local ordinances to help keep our neighborhoods pleasant for everyone. Please help us continue to be good neighbors by following the local statutes listed below.
A) Quiet Hours - Quiet Hours shall be observed from 9pm to 8am, during which time the noise from the cottage shall not disturb the adjacent neighbors.
B) Sound - Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise occur in a residential area.
C) Parking - Guest vehicles shall be parked in the designated parking area. No parking on the street at any time.
D) Usage - The vacation rental shall not be used for commercial purposes.
Tropical Creatures:
Hawaii is a tropical paradise, and while we take great care to keep the home spotless, occasionally a creature may find its way inside if food is left out. We recommend keeping food in the refrigerator to avoid unwelcome visitors.
