PLEASE READ these guidelines and follow accordingly

YOUR CHECKOUT TIME IS 11:00 AM:

• Late checkouts are not acceptable unless prearranged.

IMPORTANT DEPARTURE INFORMATION:

Please do your best to “kokua” (take care of) and leave the house the way you found it.

• Turn off A/C & all lights & appliances (incl. coffee maker) & return any moved furniture back to its original spot. • Be sure to wash all dishes – Load and run dishwasher • Take kitchen garbage out to the outdoor trash receptacles (garbage has to be in liners!). • Please start a load of towels and linens • Any excess cleaning required, damage to contents, damages to linen and bedding will be charged against your security deposit or credit card. Missing towels cost $10 per towel. EMERGENCIES AND SECURITY: • For police and fire department dial 911. For your own security lock the door when leaving for the day. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Take normal precautions for protection of your valuables, because even in paradise we need to be careful! Destination Kauai is not liable for loss or theft. QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 10:00PM-8:00AM:

• Be courteous to neighboring homes by keeping the noise level low during these hours.

PETS AND SMOKING:

• This is a NON-SMOKING property. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Pets are not permitted in this residence under any conditions.

BUGS AND GECKOS

• The home receives routine pest control inside and outside. Please remember you are visiting a tropical paradise where insects are prevalent, so don't be alarmed if you see bugs or geckos. Geckos are considered good luck and they eat the bugs! Do not leave any food out on the counters, as it will attract ants and other unwanted pests.

FURNITURE:

Please use caution when consuming food and drinks near furniture, upholstery or bedding. Coasters and placemats have been provided to protect wood and glass surfaces. Kindly refrain from placing wet clothing or towels on the furniture.

INVENTORY:

An inventory of your Vacation Rental is taken prior to each arrival. Upon your departure, should items be found missing or broken, a reasonable charge will be made to your credit card on file/security deposit.

INTERIOR LIGHTS AND CEILING FANS:

• Water and electricity are very precious resources to us here in Hawaii. Turn off all interior lights, ceiling fans, and air conditioning units when leaving the unit.

WASHER AND DRYER:

• Washer and dryer are located outside the home in the covered areea for your use.

SUNTAN LOTIONS, RED DIRT AND SAND:

• Please apply lotion in the bathroom, outside, or at the beach. Do not sit on furniture in wet swimwear or with suntan oil or lotion on. • Also wash all sand off before entering the building using the hose outside. It is our local custom to REMOVE OUR SHOES OR SANDALS at the door.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: • In case of a fire – there is a fire extinguisher under the sink. Please make yourself familiar with the location.
