FARM RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Never climb ladders or enter into the hay loft.
2. Never open any gates or enter any animal pens without being accompanied by a farm owner or employee.
3. Do not tamper with or attempt to use the zip line without assistance from employees of Heritage Farm.
4. Do not feed any animals without prior permission from Heritage Farm.
5. Please abide by any additional 'rules' posted in the cabin/house. These are for the safety of both you and the farm residents (animals and people). A farm has inherent dangers and we will do our best to point out the obvious ones.

PET POLICY We are happy to have your well-behaved pet stay with you but we ask that you follow basic rules.

Our black labrador, Juno, is free to roam around our property. She is very friendly towards both people and other dogs. She may bark and run up to you, but she only wants to be petted (and maybe her tummy rubbed!).

There are some fenced dog parks within a 15-20 minute drive if you want to have your dog run free for awhile. Just Google dog parks near me to find them.

Our daughter is a veterinarian in the nearby town of Flora and if you need and veterinarian care for your pet, please let us know.

Here are our pet rules:

• We allow guests to bring only one dog and they must be at least a year old. We love puppies but they are notorious for being irresponisble guests!
• The floors in the house are hardwood and may scratch from untrimmed toenails. Please make sure your pet's nails are trimmed and smooth before arriving.
• On arrival, let your dog go on the grass before bringing it inside. - Please clean up after your dog wherever they go. If you forgot waste bags, we have provided some in the laundry room closet.
• We have many animals on the farm that are stressed by unfamiliar dogs so your pet must be on a leash at all times when outside and keep them away from animal pens.
• Dogs barking at our alpacas or other farm animals is not acceptable and you must quiet them immediately.
• Please keep your dog off all furniture. If they must be on a chair or sofa, we provide a dog blanket for them to lie on which can be found in the laundry room.
• Your dog is not allowed on guest beds at any time. Evidence any pet soiling/damage on bed or bedding may incur extra cleaning or replacement fees.
• The towels in the bathrooms are for our human guests only, there is a dog towel in the laundry room to wipe off muddy feet when your pet comes inside.
• We know that accidents can happen but please promply clean up any accidents in the house so do not encourage future guest’s dogs to pee there. We have pet accident cleaner/deorderizer in the laundry room.
• If you notice excess dog hair anywhere, please clean it up with the vaccum cleaner in the hall closet. There is an upholstry attachment for pet hair found on the furniture.
• Dogs left alone in the house must be crated in the laundry room. If you need a crate, we have provided one in the garage.
