About Property

Welcome to The Historic Parlor House, a timeless escape offering everyday elegance and classic charm in the heart of Kennett Square, PA. Built in 1846 as The Walton House and located within the National Historic District, this beautifully restored home is a warm blend of vintage character and modern comfort, making it a perfect sanctuary for families, friend getaways, or remote work retreats.

Designed for a seamless living experience, the home accommodates up to 7 guests with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The sleeping arrangements are thoughtfully curated across the second floor: a Primary Suite featuring a King bed and a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a skylight and Carrera marble walk-in shower; a second bedroom with a King bed and cozy, calm styling; and a third bedroom with a Queen bed and warm, charming touches. A shared bath with a tub/shower combo serves the additional rooms.

The main level is designed for gathering and relaxation. Guests are greeted by a bright, airy living room boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, a plush Restoration Hardware Cloud sofa, and a Samsung Frame TV. The chef-worthy kitchen is a highlight, featuring herringbone brick flooring, a professional Viking range with two ovens and a griddle, a full-sized farmhouse sink, and a commercial-grade hood. A butler’s pantry leads to a powder room with an antique vanity and marble sink, while the dining room provides ample space for shared meals and celebrations. For quiet moments, the parlor offers a peaceful space to unwind and read, just as generations have done since the mid 19th century.
