About Property

Discover the ultimate getaway at The Vermont A-Frame, a dog-friendly retreat perfectly positioned on the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest in Winhall, Vermont. This cozy, bohemian 1965 cabin is designed for those seeking relaxation, whether you are visiting to ski, hike, or simply escape into nature.

This relaxing 1,024 sq. ft. home comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. The layout features two serene bedrooms, each appointed with a plush memory foam queen bed and soft linens. For additional sleeping space, the living area includes a comfortable sofa that converts into a queen pull-out. The home is completed with one bathroom. One of the most unique elements of the sleeping quarters is the large operable skylights, allowing guests to fall asleep under the stars while enjoying fresh mountain air.

The heart of the home is the living and dining area, anchored by a prominent stone fireplace perfect for cozy evenings. Guests can enjoy a collection of board games and books, or stream movies on the smart TV with Netflix. The clean, fully functional kitchen is stocked with essential cookware and dishware, preserving select original 1965 fixtures to maintain an authentic vintage charm. For those working remotely, the upstairs loft provides a dedicated workspace with fast WiFi and a quiet reading nook.

Outdoor living is a highlight of the experience, with the property surrounded by trees for a peaceful setting. You can gather around the stone fire pit for an evening under the stars or enjoy morning coffee on the new outdoor lounge furniture. A charcoal grill is available during warmer months (guests must provide their own charcoal).

Located in a National Forest, the cabin offers the quintessential "cabin in the woods" experience. Please be mindful of local wildlife, including deer, bear, and raccoons. Due to the forest location, cell phone reception is spotty, though WiFi is provided to enable WiFi calling. Guests should also note that some road noise may be audible due to the property's proximity to the main road.
