1. Respect Our Home and Neighborhood

The guesthouse is located directly behind our personal residence in a residential neighborhood. Please respect our property and our neighbors as you would your own. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep outdoor voices, music, and other noise at a reasonable level, particularly in the evening.

2. No Parties or Events

Parties, events, and disruptive gatherings are not permitted. The maximum number of people permitted on the property at any one time is six (6), in accordance with Metro Nashville's short-term rental occupancy requirements for this property.

3. Guest Count and Minimum Age

The principal renter must be at least 21 years old and must be present during the reservation. Maximum occupancy is six (6) guests. Please make sure all overnight guests are included on the reservation.

4. No Indoor Smoking or Vaping

Smoking or vaping of any kind, including tobacco, marijuana, and e-cigarettes, is prohibited inside the guesthouse. Smoking is permitted outdoors using the provided ashtrays. Please keep smoke away from open doors and windows and do not dispose of cigarette butts in the fire pit.

If indoor smoking or vaping results in additional cleaning, deodorizing, or other remediation, we may seek reimbursement as permitted by the booking platform.

5. Animal Policy

Pets are not permitted, in part because members of our family have animal allergies. Service animals are accommodated in accordance with applicable law and booking-platform requirements. Service animals must remain under the guest's control and may not be left alone at the property without prior approval.

6. Hot Tub Safety

Please use the hot tub responsibly. No diving is permitted, and glass containers are not allowed in or around the hot tub. Plastic drinkware is provided for your convenience.

Please replace the hot tub cover whenever the hot tub is not in use. Showering before entering the hot tub helps us maintain water quality. If you notice a low water level or have any concerns about the water, please let us know.

7. Fire Pit Safety

During cooler months, we provide a starter supply of firewood for guest use. Firewood may not be stocked during warmer months when the fire pit is less commonly used. Additional firewood may be purchased nearby if needed.

Never leave a fire unattended. Please keep fires contained within the fire pit and make sure the fire is fully extinguished before going inside or leaving the property.

8. Loft Staircase

The loft is accessed by a steep, ladder-style staircase. Please use the staircase carefully and descend facing the steps.

Because of the staircase, the loft may not be appropriate for young children, guests with mobility limitations, or anyone uncomfortable using steep stairs. Children using the staircase should be closely supervised by an adult.

9. Check-In and Check-Out

Standard check-in begins at 3:00 PM Central Time, and checkout is at 11:00 AM Central Time.

Early check-in or late checkout is available only when specifically offered or approved in advance. Please do not enter the property before your confirmed check-in time or remain after your confirmed checkout time without prior approval.

10. Parking

The private driveway accommodates up to three standard-size vehicles or two larger SUVs parked in tandem. Please do not block the sidewalk, alley, gates, or neighboring driveways.

11. Outdoor TV

The courtyard TV is weather-dependent. Please do not use the TV during rainy weather, and always replace and secure its protective cover after use.

When temperatures are expected to fall below freezing, we bring the TV indoors to prevent cold-weather damage. The outdoor TV may therefore be unavailable during colder periods.

12. Care of the Property

Please treat the guesthouse and its furnishings with care. Furniture and furnishings should not be moved from their designated locations.

If something is accidentally damaged or stops working during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address it. Guests may be responsible for damage, missing items, or extraordinary cleaning costs as permitted by the booking platform.

13. Decorations

Glitter and confetti are not permitted. Please do not attach decorations to walls, furniture, or other surfaces using tape, adhesive hooks, nails, or other materials that could cause damage.

If you are celebrating something during your stay and would like to decorate, please contact us first and we will be happy to help identify appropriate options.

14. Commercial Activity

Commercial photography, videography, filming, events, or other commercial use of the property is not permitted without our prior written approval.

15. Exterior Security Cameras

Exterior security cameras are present on the property for security purposes and monitor exterior areas including the driveway and backyard entry areas. There are no cameras or recording devices inside the guesthouse.
