About Property

Experience the perfect balance of heritage, style, and seaside serenity at Sonsy Cottage, a stylish stone retreat bursting with quirky character in the heart of Alnmouth, England.

This beautifully styled home perfectly blends coastal charm with modern luxury. The layout consists of 2 bedrooms with 2 beds and 2 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 3 guests. Upstairs, two elegant bedrooms continue the cottage's design flair. The main bedroom features a decorative cast-iron fireplace and a stunning ensuite bathroom adorned with William Morris artwork and vintage mid-century furniture. The second bedroom is very snug and compact, offering a calm and restful space ideal for small children. Both bedrooms offer zip & link beds to provide flexible sleeping arrangements.

Inside, you are greeted by a warm, characterful living space featuring deep green velvet sofas, vintage-inspired wallpaper, and an impressive stone inglenook fireplace with a cast-iron wood burner. The real showpiece is the light-filled Orangery-style kitchen and breakfast room, featuring a striking glass atrium that floods the space with sunshine by day and starlight by night. The well-equipped kitchen includes a Nespresso coffee machine and a thoughtfully stocked larder. For additional comfort, the downstairs features a beautifully finished shower room with a large rainfall shower.

Outside, a sunny, secluded courtyard garden surrounded by mature planting provides a peaceful haven. The property is reached via a pretty, unlit footpath on Osborne Place, enhancing the sense of privacy.

Alnmouth is one of Northumberland's most picturesque coastal villages. Guests are just a short stroll from golden sandy beaches, welcoming pubs, vibrant cafés, independent shops, and galleries.
