• We do not allow any parties and or events at our cabin.
• Pets are not allowed. You will be charged $500 if you bring a pet.
• The cabin is on well water. While we do have a filtration system in place and you shouldn’t smell any sulfur, we suggest bringing some bottled water for drinking.
• The cabin is on a septic system, which means toilets are for toilet paper ONLY, and no grease or food going down the sink.
• You are in the woods, so you will see critters, bugs, and maybe even bears. Be safe! There’s a reason the trash receptacles are made of steel, so make sure no food gets left outside or in your cars.
• The theater room has only one vent, and can feel a few degrees warmer than in other rooms. We recommend setting the thermostat a degree or two cooler than normal during summer months.
• There is a camera at the cabin above the front door that looks at the driveway, front door and wrap around porch. It’s not actively monitored, but is there to make sure cleaners, maintenance, and pest control are performing their services to standard.
• Pots, pans, plates, glasses, cooking utensils, crockpot, blender, coffee pot and more are all provided. The only thing you need to bring is the food!
• Zip locks , foil, condiments, are not provided but may have been left by previous guests for the next incoming group.
• Once the kitchen trash is full, place the bag in the bear-proof cage in front of the cabin inside the plastic bins.
• If you find that you have too much trash for the bear-proof cage, you can contact me and I can arrange a trash pick-up for a one-time additional fee.
• There is a Kroger 15 mins away (6 miles) and a Publix 7 miles away for any grocery store needs you have. That being said, it will be EXTREMELY crowded. We suggest bringing as much as you can to make any grocery store runs as small as possible. If you just want to grab a few things, I highly recommend you swing by the Dollar General on Wears Valley Road 10 minutes away to avoid the Kroger/Publix crowd.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
• IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY.
FIREPLACE RULES
• The fireplace is electric and on a timer with a remote. The fireplace does get hot. Supervise all children around the fireplace when in use.
• Try to Limit the use of the fireplace between April 1 and September 30.
HOT TUB RULES
The hot tub is drained, re-filled, and chemically treated with bromine after each guest. Based on that, it might not be hot when you first arrive but it will get there shortly!
The cabin is on well water. We use a water softener, a filtered hose, bromine tablets, and 'Spa-Metal-Free' solution. The water is 100% safe to use, and if you see any discoloration this is perfectly normal.
Replace the cover back on the tub when not using it. If left open for too long, leaves, or other debris can get caught in the pump and the tub will no longer work.
There are rules posted by the hot tub. By booking the cabin, you agree to the rules of the hot tub mentioned here.
The hot tub should only be used by those 18 years and older, and never for extended periods of time.
Pregnant women, children, and those with underlying health conditions should not use the hot tub.
Do not drink alcohol in the hot tub.
Please use the plastic cups instead of the glass when near the hot tub to avoid the possibility of broken glass getting into the tub.
GRILL RULES
The gas grill in the back porch of the cabin must be attended at all times when in use.
Before igniting the grill please check the immediate surrounding area for flammable debris.
Supervise any children around the grill when in use.
Please shutoff the gas supply valve before leaving the grilling area.
Clean the grill after each use, and ensure no food is left outside (because bears!).
No frying a turkey or any food is allowed,
Our oven is equipped to air fry. If you would like to air fry.
ELECTRONICS
• There are 5 smart TVs in the cabin. The bedrooms operate on Roku. The living room, game room, and theater room are Samsung.
Each will allow you to log in to different streaming apps including HBO Max, Disney+, Netflix, and Hulu. Just bring your own password! If you have trouble with the remotes, you can also download the Roku app or Samsung SmartThings Mobile app to your phone and use your phone as a remote.
Do not adjust the temperature above 72 degrees in the winter or below 74 in the summer.
Neighborhood quiet time is after 10pm.
We are available via the Airbnb messaging app from 9am to 7pm every day. We are owner operated, but we do have cleaners, maintenance, and pest control that we partner with if there is a need for any emergency issues.
Our goal is to provide a relaxing 5-star vacation to you, so if anything isn’t to your satisfaction, please reach out and we will resolve the issue promptly.
