Listing Notes:

• A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation.
• The remaining balance is due upon check-in (cash preferred).
• Guests paying in cash receive a 10% discount on lodging only; the 50% deposit will be refunded at check-in (minus Stripe fees if applicable).
• A refundable $250 security deposit will be held on your credit card 2 days before checkout and released after your stay.

HOUSE RULES:

1. LISTING DESCRIPTION: Prior to booking, guests must thoroughly review the listing description and adhere to the provided details. Any amenities not explicitly stated are not provided, and some amenities may require additional cost and pre-arrangement, such as the hot tub and sauna. Violations include complaints about amenities not specified in the listing or complaints about amenities that are provided at an additional charge. Complaints regarding such amenities not being included are not permitted.

2. CEDAR SAUNA AND HOT TUB USAGE: The wood-burning cedar sauna and hot tub amenities are available at an additional cost and must be pre-arranged with the host, as they require additional work, preparation, and expense. Unauthorized use is strictly forbidden. Guests may only utilize these amenities if pre-arranged, with specific usage instructions provided. Use of these amenities is at your own risk; the host is not liable for any incidents. Guests with medical concerns should refrain from using these facilities.

3. TOILET USE: Our Lakehouse uses a septic system. Please do not flush any feminine products, paper towels, tissues, baby wipes, or diapers... or hopes and dreams.

4. GARBAGE: Do not leave garbage outside, as this could attract wildlife and compromise safety. During your stay, please dispose of garbage in the designated container (located on the side of the house by the fence) and make sure to lock the container lid. Upon departure, please dispose of your garbage at the local Landfill on Biers Rd, which is open daily until 4:30 pm. A fee will apply for garbage left behind.

5. PARKING and BOAT DOCKING: Guests are required to park their vehicles in the graveled area adjacent to the blue shed or within 30 feet of the front entrance. Parking on the lawn, in neighboring driveways, or on our septic bed is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from driving on grass or lawn areas. Furthermore, boat parking at our dock must be pre-arranged with the owner. We kindly ask guests to avoid parking their boats at neighboring docks.

6. SMOKING: Smoking inside the house is prohibited. Guests may smoke outdoors and use designated ashtrays.

7. FIRE SAFETY: Open-air fires are limited to designated fire pits for safety and environmental reasons. Guests must adhere to burning control by-laws and fire danger ratings, monitored from April 1 to October 31.

8. REGISTERED GUESTS: Adhere to the reservation headcount, and no unregistered guests are allowed. Additional guests beyond 2 people require a fee of $50 per person per night.

9. PETS: Pre-approved pets are welcome with a pet fee of $25. Owners must ensure pets' behavior and clean up after them. Please follow pet rules.

10. GUEST COURTESY & NOISE REGULATIONS: Please respect fellow guests in the other unit by sharing amenities like watercraft and communal areas such as the beach and volleyball area while maintaining reasonable noise levels and privacy. NOISE: Adhere to local regulations. Indoors, moderate noise is allowed unless other guests are present. Avoid excessive noise outdoors from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Also, refrain from using amplifiers on the rooftop or by the lake, as sound travels through water and may disturb neighbors.

11. FURNITURE and BBQ: No furniture rearrangements. If outdoor furniture (like a chair) is used elsewhere, please place it back upon departure. Please clean BBQ after use.

12. WATER ACTIVITIES AND WATERCRAFT: Guests can use complimentary watercraft (i.e., kayaks, canoe), but must wear life jackets. Return watercraft to designated area and/or racks after use. Guests engage in water activities at their own risk, and the host is not liable for any incidents or accidents. All motor boats are available at extra cost and must be pre-arranged with the owner.

13. SHORELINE SAFETY GUIDELINES: Please exercise extra caution when navigating the shoreline around the Lakehouse and be mindful of potentially slippery rocks. To avoid slipping, we recommend swimming only from the dock or utilizing the smooth entrance at the back of the Lakehouse. For safety reasons, refrain from diving, and ensure close supervision of children at all times. Kindly note that all water-related activities are undertaken at your own risk; we strongly advise the use of life jackets as a safety measure. It's important to understand that the host cannot be held liable for any incidents. Additionally, we respectfully ask guests to honor and respect the presence of wildlife in the area.

14. PROMPT COMMUNICATION: Report any issues or complaints immediately through the platform before departure. Refunds or compensation for post-departure concerns cannot be accommodated.

MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL – ENJOY YOUR STAY AT ZUKA LAKEHOUSE! Failure to comply with the above-noted rules may result in a deduction or loss of the security deposit.
