- Windows, Doors & Conservation
The Outer Banks is infamous for its wildlife, including Midges" (tiny harmless but annoying flying insects) that are attracted to the cooler air and lighting inside homes. To avoid infestation, please do not leave unscreened doors or windows open at any time. Guest is responsible for pest control if doors and window ares left ajar.
Never leave doors/windows open when HVAC systems are running (house has three separate units). The home comes equipped with sensors that will automatically shut off the HVAC units if doors are left open. This will result in reduced comfort for guests - especially during more extreme weather variances.
Please help us conserve energy and keep rental rates reasonable by turning off lights, fans, and non-mandatory electronics when leaving rooms or the house.
Similarly, please be mindful of water usage (especially showers and outdoor rinsing areas) and do your beat to keep the hot tub and pool clean during your stay by following all house rules, including rinsing before bathing, keeping glass, sand, and food and beverages far away from water.
Your thoughtful cooperation ensures we can maintain this home beautifully and continue offer high quality OBX experiences to guests for years to come.
We hope you have an amazing experience and are happy to answer any questions that may come up during your stay!
