Discover the timeless charm of the Red Barn Inn, a beautiful and iconic 10-acre farm situated in the heart of Deep Creek Lake in Swanton, Maryland. Originally established in the early 1800s as the Harvey Farm, this historic estate transitioned from a dairy farm to a potato farm before evolving into the classic, rustic, but elegant retreat it is today. Following a comprehensive top-to-bottom renovation, the inn now showcases a professional modern farmhouse style where shiplap is featured everywhere to create a calm and comfortable experience.

This expansive estate is designed to host large groups with ease, featuring 10 bedrooms, 10 beds, and 10 bathrooms, accommodating up to 16 guests. Each of the 10 bedrooms is uniquely designed and comes equipped with a king size bed, a private bathroom, a gas fireplace with a barn beam mantle, and cable television. The layout includes three first-story rooms—one of which is handicap accessible with a roll-in shower and a twin sleeper sofa, and another featuring a queen sleeper sofa. The second floor offers five bedrooms with breathtaking views of the on-property pond and two rooms overlooking a lovely rear meadow.

At the center of the home, a large gas fireplace welcomes you into the shared great room, which provides multiple spaces to read, chat, or watch a movie. The property also includes a full kitchen and a dining table large enough for wonderful family meals with all your favorite people.

Outside, the grounds are truly expansive. Guests can wander through open fields, fish in the stocked pond, or enjoy the huge space for front porch sitting. The iconic huge red barn serves as a perfect photo backdrop, while other outdoor highlights include a sledding hill and a fireside area under a 300-year-old tree. Nearby activities include a Par-3 golf course, neighborhood tennis courts, and the lake for swimming and fishing.

Located in the idyllic Deep Creek Lake region, guests are minutes away from Wisp Resort for skiing and snowboarding, Swallow Falls State Park, and various local breweries and artisans.
