Discover the experience of a lifetime at the 'Midnight Train to Marfa,' a rad and unique Vintage 1948 Santa Fe Caboose. Nestled on two large lots in Marfa, Texas, this one-of-a-kind getaway faces fantastic ranch views and the romantic stir of the Railroad train, offering a real cowboy experience you might become quite smitten with.
This intimate retreat is designed for two guests and features a cozy layout with 1 bedroom, 1 bed, and 1 bathroom. The sleeping area centers around a comfortable queen size bed, complete with outlets on either side for your devices and a portable fan for those who prefer white noise. For absolute comfort, the space is equipped with brand new mini split ductless systems controlled by a remote right by the bed.
The cabin's charm extends to its functional spaces. You will find a stocked kitchen featuring a stove, oven, refrigerator with freezer, toaster, and ample counter space, with dining for two. The bathing experience is truly special: you can count the stars in the sky while soaking in a large outdoor tub or choose a separate hot shower indoors. Please note that because this is an authentic train car, the space is small and privacy is limited regarding the showering area.
Step outside to enjoy the expansive surroundings on the attached patio, where you can dine outdoors or lounge under the stars with seating for two. A repurposed original train car stove serves as a crackling fire pit for chilly desert nights.
Location & Neighborhood: Situated on the edge of town, the Caboose is approximately a mile from the heart of Marfa and all the local attractions. The property is surrounded by open lands to the North and private residences to the South. While the town is close, driving or bringing a bike with good tires is recommended for those who prefer not to walk.
