Galveston is a barrier island on the Texas Gulf Coast. Mosquitos, spiders, rodents and other creepy crawlies are quite common. Properties are treated quarterly and no refunds will be given for critter sightings.  Coyotes, snakes and other vermin live here too; be mindful of  your pets and children. Additionally, hurricanes are common from approximately June to November. Travel insurance is recommended.
