The property is just a 7-minute trip to Elk Avenue, where you can explore historic buildings, art galleries, and a variety of shopping and dining options. For those arriving by air, the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport is a 45-minute drive away. The surrounding area is a year-round destination for hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, and snowshoeing.

Practical Info & Rules Check-in is available after 4:00 PM and check-out is before 10:00 AM via keypad self check-in. Please note that this property is not pet friendly, although the building itself is dog-friendly and you may encounter other guests' pets. The Grand Lodge is a 3-star building (built 1999) with dated common areas; consequently, there is no air conditioning and no in-unit washer/dryer, though coin laundry is available in the building. Shared amenities are operated by the HOA and may close for maintenance without notice. Linen turnover is available for a $100 fee with 24-hour notice.
