We’re excited to host you at our mountain retreat! To help ensure a peaceful and safe experience for everyone (including our furry residents), please review the following house rules before your stay:

Shoes • Please remove your shoes and leave in one of the two mudrooms

Animals • Do not feed or touch the animals (donkeys, yak, horses). The owners live next door and personally care for them daily—you’re welcome to watch and enjoy them at a distance. • Please do not climb on any of the fences or enter the barn or pasture areas at any time. Also there is electric fence on the property. • Our neighbor to the right has two mustangs and electric fence as well – please keep a distance • Treat the land and animals with respect—we’re sharing a truly special spot.

No Smoking, Parties, or Events • This is a peaceful mountain retreat within a neighborhood meant for relaxation and quiet enjoyment, and sound carries. Doors and Windows • Doors and downstairs windows need to remain locked at night to ensure bears cannot enter the home • Glass doors lock by pushing the handle up towards the ceiling, then turning the lock; if you have not pushed it up, it will not lock.
• The front door will remain locked unless you push in the deadbolt manually from the side

No pets allowed

Parking + Garage • Guests may use the 2-car garage, which includes a Level 2 EV charger. • Garage doors are narrow, so we recommend only pulling in smaller vehicles (no SUVs).

Air conditioning • Adjust the temperature for cooling using the Mitsubishi remotes in each room; in the summer, we leave all the units to cool if it gets above 74 degrees. If you want to lower the temperature, point the remote at the unit you are wanting to adjust and turn down the temperature to your desired setting.

Heating • The wall mounted Honeywell thermostats in each room on the ground floor are just for radiant floor heat and will not cool, in the summer they are set to low so won’t be on unless you increase the temperature on the relevant unit.
• The upstairs bathrooms have heated electric floors mats and can be adjusted to your desired temperature. The mini splits upstairs can also be used to heat, but the setting in the remote needs to be adjusted to heat and the temperature adjusted. You cannot simultaneously heat and cool different mini splits in the house at the same time.

Shades • Shades in the master bedroom, great room and den are motorized. There is a remote in each room. Push the up/down arrow; this will open all shades.

Appliances, Water & Trash • You will find instructions near the major appliances (espresso machine, induction range). • The entire house is on a reverse osmosis system, so the water is filtered and you can drink from any faucet. • Trash and recycling is in the garage; we recycle plastic, cardboard, glass and aluminum (single stream)

Hot Tub & Cold Plunge • We recommend a quick rinse before getting in the hot tub or cold plunge to get rid of oils and dirt; the outdoor shower turns on by turning on the hot and cold hose bibs (adjust heat at the bib), the shower knob adjusts volume

Woodstove Rules • If you do not know how to light a fire, please do not light one. Woodstove adjustments should be left alone (not adjusted). The door should be shut at all times that the fire is lit. Only use wood, kindling and newspaper provided - these woodstoves have catalytic converters that will be ruined if you burn anything other than solid newspaper or wood.

Connectivity • Cell service is limited in the area, but don’t worry—we have fast, reliable Wi-Fi for all your streaming and remote work needs.
