About Property

Escape to Sail Away Cottage, a historic gem in Bradenton Beach, Florida, where century-old character meets modern island comfort. Originally built in 1920 as one of the oldest homes on Anna Maria Island before being moved to its current location in the 1980s, this unique retreat preserves the soul of a classic beach cottage while offering thoughtful, island-themed updates throughout.

The home is designed for effortless relaxation and group gatherings, featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a total guest capacity of 6. Sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms with queen beds and a third bedroom featuring two twin beds. To ensure everyone stays connected and entertained, the property is equipped with flat-screen TVs in the living room and every bedroom.

Step outside to discover a secluded tropical paradise. The private backyard serves as your own personal outdoor living space, centered around a heated pool and framed by lush tropical landscaping that provides a screen from the street. A large deck wraps around the pool area, creating the perfect setting for morning coffee, soaking up the afternoon sun, or hosting evening cookouts. For convenience, an outdoor shower is available to handle post-beach cleanup before you head back inside.

Location is everything at Sail Away Cottage. You are just 170 steps from the front door to the sandy beach, making spontaneous trips to the shore genuinely easy. Because of the home's elevated position, you can hear the soothing sounds of the Gulf waves, and on a clear day, you can even catch a peek of the water from the right angle.
