The cabin is designed for relaxation and functionality, featuring 1 bedroom with a plush king-size bed and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. To accommodate up to 4 guests, the open-plan living area includes a comfortable queen sleeper sofa. Inside, you can relax by the cozy electric fireplace, stream your favorite shows on the Smart TV, or utilize the dedicated workspace if you need to stay connected.

Step outside to your private, elevated back deck which offers beautiful forest views dominated by a grand elm tree. This outdoor sanctuary is the ideal spot to unwind in the bubbling hot tub after a day of exploration. For those who love the outdoors, the property provides a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and complimentary firewood, as well as a Weber charcoal grill for your use (please bring your own grilling essentials).

Location & Neighborhood Situated on a serene ridge, the cabin offers a woodland setting just 10 minutes from the SIUC campus and the city of Carbondale. Nature lovers will appreciate being only 5 minutes from Giant City State Park and a short drive from the Shawnee National Forest, providing endless opportunities for hiking, fishing, hunting, cycling, and kayaking. While your cabin is private, please note that there are a total of four well-spaced cabins on the 35-acre property, so other guests may be present on the grounds.

Practical Info & Rules

• Check-in: After 3:00 PM
• Check-out: Before 10:00 AM
• Pets: Dogs welcome (max 2) and must be reported prior to arrival; a $50 fee per pet per stay applies
• Access: Guests have private access to the entire cabin and grounds, except for one locked maintenance closet
• Inventory: A starter package of basics (3 rolls of TP and 1 roll of paper towels) is provided
• Requirements: A rental agreement and ID verification are required
