Welcome to Brown Cabin, a rustic 1,850 sq ft mountain retreat built in 1931 and nestled in the heart of Estes Park, Colorado — where sweeping views of Longs Peak and the Big Thompson River set the scene for an unforgettable mountain getaway.

This unique four-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin sleeps up to 12 guests and carries the wonderful character of its era throughout, from the large stone fireplace and original log walls to the period furnishings and artwork that give it unmistakable personality. Updated for modern comfort, it features new bedding, linens, kitchenware, baseboard heating, and refreshed appliances — so you get the charm of a 1930s cabin without sacrificing the conveniences of home.

• Master Suite (Upstairs): Spacious 21x11 room with a pillowtop king bed, smart TV, desk, sitting area, and a private outside deck with unobstructed views of Estes Valley. Note: the ceiling is on the lower side and the room has an open loft-style doorway rather than a traditional door — it's still private, as it's the only upstairs bedroom.

The living area is anchored by a vaulted ceiling with cathedral logs, a massive stone fireplace, and a large picture window framing views of Longs Peak and the river — a window seat included. The fully stocked kitchen features a refrigerator, range/oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all the cookware and dishes you need. A dining table, large covered front porch overlooking the river, and a back patio with a BBQ grill round out the communal spaces perfectly.

Brown Cabin sits just three miles from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, with Eldora Ski Resort as the closest ski destination (contact them directly for details and pricing). The Big Thompson River runs just across the street, visible right from the front porch, and deer are frequent visitors to the property grounds.

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. A signed rental agreement is required as part of the booking process. Additional notes to keep in mind:

• Pets are not allowed
• Parking is limited to 4 vehicles maximum; no RVs or trailers
• A 4WD vehicle is recommended for winter visits
• Washer/dryer is available in summer and fall only
• Upstairs doorways and ceilings are lower than average due to the cabin's age
• Smart TVs require your own personal streaming accounts
• Nightly rate increases for groups larger than 4 — enter your full group size for accurate pricing
• A cleaner may occasionally access the basement supply area through an exterior door beneath the deck during your stay
• Rocky Mountain National Park requires timed entry reservations (May 23 – Oct 13); tickets release the first day of the prior month and can sell out quickly — the final 40% are released the day before entry
