This newly renovated getaway, named after Wallenpaupack's nickname "Wally," perfectly meshes a traditional cottage feel with modern flare to create an unforgettable home base near the lake.

The interior is thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort and style. The main floor features a master bedroom with a Queen bed and a small closet. Upstairs, a spiral staircase leads to a cozy loft equipped with a Full and a Twin bed, as well as a desk for those needing to get some work done. A full bathroom with a sliding glass enclosure serves the home. The heart of the cottage is a brand new, fully equipped kitchen boasting updated stainless appliances, including a dishwasher and filtered ice/drinking water. Adjacent to the kitchen, the living room offers a propane fireplace (seasonal) and a 42" Roku-enabled TV, while a cozy dining area provides seating for four.

Outdoor living is where this property truly shines. Relax on the full-length front porch in Adirondack chairs beside an antique ski lift from the old Vernon Valley Resort, or enjoy an outdoor meal at the picnic table. The fully fenced rear yard is a haven for children and pets, featuring a chimenea for roasting marshmallows, comfortable seating under glowing Edison lights, and a newer 4-burner grill. For entertainment and relaxation, guests have access to a Game Shed with foosball, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect-4, and Cornhole, as well as a 4-person hot tub.

Located in a walking-friendly neighborhood, the cottage is just down the street from downtown Hawley and a short drive to breweries, groceries, and restaurants. While the property does not have direct lake access, the public beach is only 5 minutes away and boat launches are nearby. For your convenience, the host provides five kayaks and a double-person canoe for exploration.

• Parking: Rock driveway accommodates a maximum of 2 vehicles (or 1 vehicle and a trailer). No street parking available.
• Pet Policy: Pets are allowed. A $75 one-time dog fee applies for up to 2 dogs. Please keep pets off the furniture and clean up after them.
• Winter Access: AWD/4WD is required during snowstorms; RWD vehicles are not permitted in winter months due to the street entrance hill.
• Firewood: Not provided, but a self-service station is available out front.
