Hawaii - Shopping

At the crossroads of the Pacific, Hawaii has an incredible amount of shopping treasures that await your discovery. Hawaiian designed clothing, jewelry, and koa wood products make for elegant gifts. Macadamia nuts, Hawaiian coffees, and T-shirts are fun to share too!. Victoria Ward Centers is Hawaii's one of the most unique shopping and dining destination. You'll find over 120 stores to explore plus a Farmers Market featuring fresh fish, produce, and other local delicacies. A collection of 19 taste-tempting restaurants makes Victoria Ward Centers a favorite dining spot of residents. Choose from simple home style meals to delectable Pacific Rim cuisine!

Shopping areas on the south shore are situated both in Poipu and Koloa. There is also a major shopping center near Lihue. In all cases, groceries, a variety of retail clothing, art, gifts and jewelry reflecting tropical styles are plentiful, as well as many crafts and products made right here on Kauai.

Ala Moana Center
Ala Moana is not only the largest shopping center in the state; it's the biggest open-air shopping center in the world. Browse in the over 200 shops from department stores to Hawaiian specialty shops to world-famous boutiques. Then pause to eat at the Makai Market, the shopping center's food court. The mall is conveniently located right near Waikiki and is directly on the bus route. The center serves as the central bus hub for Honolulu. You can take care of business at the post office, banks, airline offices, the currency exchange, or the satellite City Hall for bus schedules and county camping permits. When you're completely exhausted, rest and behold the tropical flowers and Japanese koi in the fishponds.

Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry
Ever since the 1880's, heirlooms have been used for wedding bands. A combination of heavy gold, fused-in black enamel, and hand-engraved designs provide timeless elegance.

Kawamoto Orchid Nursery
Visit this 3-1/2 acre nursery in beautiful Palolo Valley, which stocks cattleya, vanda, epidendrum, and many other kinds of orchids. Catalog available.

Town & Country Surf Shop
The latest fashions in surfwear and casual clothing can be found here, along with fine surfboards and accessories. A local favorite!

Aloha Flea Market
Bargain hunters beware! You may end up with more than you can handle. In purchases, that is. If you stop by Aloha Stadium on a Wednesday, Saturday, or Sunday, you can find trinkets, leis, Kona coffee, jewelry, T-shirts, antiques, swimwear, leather goods, lauhala hats, and more. Wed, Sat, and Sun 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aloha Stadium, Honolulu.

North shore Marketplace
Once you make your way over to the North Shore of Oahu, check out the little town of Haleiwa, which houses art galleries, surf shops, and stores that sell shave ice, a delicious treat for those hot and lazy afternoons. 66-250 Kamehameha Hwy

Chinatown
The Chinatown district is a lively and vibrant part of the downtown area. Chinatown is the source of interesting shops. Lei stands, herb shops, acupuncture studios, noodle factories, art galleries, and Asian restaurants sell their wares here. West of downtown Honolulu, bordered more or less by Honolulu Harbor, Nuuanu Avenue, and River Street.
