Language
The state's two official languages are Hawaiian and English. Not many people outside of Hawaii know the existence of the Hawaiian language; even within the state, few can speak it fluently. However, many Hawaiian terms and phrases are kept alive in the way they speak as local people commonly use Hawaiian words in their speech.
