Dubai - Location

One of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is lying on the calm, blue waters of the southern Gulf, flanked by majestic desert. Dubai Creek, a natural inlet from the Gulf divides the city into the Deira district to its north and Bur Dubai to its south.

Dubai International Airport is located five kilometers (three miles) southeast of the city.
