Thailand has become a favored
destination for adventure seekers and eco-tourists. Eco activities are now available in every region of Thailand,
more outstandingly in the mountainous areas of the north, west,
and the south of Thailand. Leading the way are trekking,
mountain biking, bird watching and scuba diving.
The far North of Thailand, especially the
province of Chiang Rai,
is well known for its scenic natural beauty - an area filled
with forested mountains, rivers, waterfalls and lush tropical
jungles. It is also an area with many opportunities for visitors
to experience first hand a wide range of exciting, adventure and
enjoyable eco-tourism activities - including trekking, rafting
and elephant riding.
In Krabi, wide ranges of activities are available, including
world-class rock-climbing, caving, sea kayaking, camping and
hiking. In addition, the area offers a full range of
accommodations, as well as some great places to get away for a
break from the action. This broad spectrum of activities and
accommodations, when combined with some of the most breathtaking
scenery in the world, make Krabi an ideal destination for the
eco-tourist.
Kanchanaburi is another choice for the ecotourist. This province
is well endowed with forests, rivers, waterfalls and caves and
the natural attractions are well-organized and protected under
national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.
No doubt, coming are the prosperous days of eco tourism and
Thailand will be a fine destination for more and more nature
lovers. |
