Gateway to Northeast
The largest province in the Northeast, Nakhon Ratxhasima is blessed with amazing mountains and awesome historical sites for people to study. It is also called Khorat and is considered the gateway to the Northeast. The province of Nakhon Ratchasima boasts one of the finest national parks in the world, Khao Yai National Park, which has been recognized by the United Nations. This park and many of the surrounding areas are tremendously scenic, and home to a wide variety of rare flora and fauna. In addition, two dams in the province have created large reservoirs, which provide access to some beautiful waterfalls.
