Lopburi – Lawo of Thai 
Lopburi, formerly known as ‘Lawo’, was one of the important towns of the Khmers from the 10 th - 13 th centuries. Many Khmer ruins are found in and around this town. Thailand's largest sunflower plantation is in Lopburi attracting thousands of tourists during the period from November to January when sunflowers are in full bloom. World famous Lop Buri zoo's inmates include favorite Asian and Australian birds and mammals.
