Mandai Orchid
Garden.
This is Singapore's largest commercial
orchid garden and it's worth a visit for the
colorful displays and the method and manner

Marina south city
park
In Marina south city park at Marina South,
off Prince Edward Road via East Coast
Parkway, a giant sundial and disc
sculptures, which revolve in the breeze, are
the main attractions. With open spaces and
breezy winds, it is a popular haunt for
kite-flyers.

A short walk from Marina Bay MRT (MI).
Mount Faber
Mount Faber at Kampong Bahru Road offers
excellent views of the Singapore skyline,
the harbor and offshore islands. Take a
stroll or rest at the teahouse before
catching the cable car to Sentosa.

Reservoirs
The reservoirs, MacRitchie, Peirce, Lower
Seletar and Upper Seletar off Thomson, Upper
Thomson Road and Mandai Road are splendid.
Surrounded by broad swamps, jungle and
greenery, the cool reservoir parks of
MacRitchie and Seletar are popular strolling
and picnic spots for families.
Singapore Botanic
Gardens
Close to the city, the Singapore Botanic
Gardens combine both primary jungle and
manicured gardens in a 52-hectare spread.
Housing an abundance of flora, including
many rare specimens, it is also a popular
venue of outdoor concerts. The National
Orchid Garden has the world's largest orchid
display featuring over 60,000 plants and
orchids, and houses the famed "VIP
Orchids" named after visiting state
dignitaries.

Orchard MRT (N3) along Orchard Boulevard. Or
take the Singapore Botanic Gardens Shuttle
Bus on weekends and Public Holidays.

Zoological Gardens
Spread over 28 hectares and housing the
finest wildlife collection in Asia,
Singapore's Zoological Gardens has been
described as one of the most beautiful
animal parks in the world. Home to over
2,000 animals, including 40 endangered
species; it uses natural barriers like moats
and rock walls. The Zoo's latest attraction
is called the Fragile Forest-an exciting and
educational display of ecosystems and rain
forest culture and the world's largest
captive orang utan group. Housed in a huge
enclosure with a specially designed,
wire-mesh dome, it allows visitors to
experience an entire ecosystem where some of
the world's most fragile creatures can
co-exist in absolute harmony.
