The beautiful architectural design and motive illustrate the
rich Islamic heritage. The local architects have successfully
blended Eastern architecture with Western technology to build an
elegant tower.
Dome shape arches at every doorway on the upper ground floor are
decorated with glass that illuminates like giant diamonds whose
surfaces are arranged according to the form of the traditional
Islamic ‘Muqarnas”. The receding shape of the apex
symbolizes the sunray whereby it is also a symbol of man’s
journey towards perfection.
Planning, setting up and decorating the Muqarnas were done by
the Iranian experts using their own methods and skills that have
been passed down for generations.
There is a revolving restaurant called Seri Angkasa at the
height of 282 meters above the ground, and with the excellent
view of the city, this elegant restaurant offers a wide array of
local buffet and western a la carte.
Standing beautifully atop Bukit Nanas, 94 meters above sea
level, Menara Kuala Lumpur was erected as telecommunication
tower to improve the quality of telecommunications and
broadcasting transmission. Undoubtedly, the tower symbolizes the
vast development of the nation’s telecommunications.
