Baishakhi
This festival commemorates the day on which Guru Gobind Singh founded the Khalsa. The Granth Sahib is read in its entirety at Gurudwars, and is then carried in a procession. Feasting and dancing follow in the evening. This festival is held in April/May

The birthday of Guru Nanak is celebrated with prayer readings and procession, particularly in Amritsar and Patna (April/May).
