Corbett National Park in Uttar Pradesh is popular sight with the tourists. It is primarily a Tiger reserve housing many other species of animals and birds.
Sunderbans of West Bengal, is one of India's most evocative tiger sanctuaries. Elephants can be most easily seen at
Periyar, Kerala. India's main bird sanctuary is at Keoladeo Ghanna of Rajasthan, a monsoon wetland favored by both resident and migratory water fowls.
Gir Forest of Gujarat is the last remaining home of the Asiatic lion. The desert sanctuary of the
Rann of Kutch, is where flamingoes and wild asses can be seen.

are other noteworthy wild life sanctuaries of India.
