The fascination of India’s hilltop rendezvous include the exotic and mysterious hideouts. India’s primary hill resort, Shimla continues to charm tourists with its unique ambience, a blend of the colonial and Himachal. Other popular tourist destinations of the place are Kullu-Manali. It offers bewitching countryside, excellent trekking and climbing routes. The hills of Uttar Pradesh are majestic and beautiful. Dehradum of Uttar Pradesh not only does worth a visit for peace  but is also suitable to be made a base for visits to majestic Mussorie, Rishikesh and various other beautiful and scenic places in the Garwal Himalayas. 

DarjeelingNainital is another extremely scenic place in Uttar Pradesh, renowned for its idyllic beauty and huge mountain Silhouettes against the blue skies. Almora, just 67 kilometers from Nainital offers the visitor a healthy selection of treks which combine the pleasure of sight seeing with the spirit of adventure. The most important organized hill resort with tea estates, in eastern India is Darjeeling. It offers a backdrop of the mighty Himalayan peaks. Darjeeling also holds a special interest for the botanist, the ornithologist, the trekker, the photographer and the artist apart from the regular holidaymaker. Shillong, Ladakh, Sikkim all have its own unique hill resorts to select. Bihar and Madhya Pradesh hill stations are also unique for its flora and fauna. 

Down in the south also there are a few hill stations like Ooty near Mysore, Kodaikanal at Tamil Nadu, Munnar of Kerala and Horsley Hills of Andhra Pradesh.
