The vast collection of traditional terracotta is a peculiarity of Goa. These are coming from Bicholim district in North Goa. These are in a spectrum of sizes and shapes. Terracotta miniatures are another peculiarity. Goan workers are known for their artistry in lacquer items. Wooden articles are lacquered in festive colors by master craftsmen from Cuan Cunolim, South Goa. These items are called Chitaris.
